Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)

Duration: 13 Weeks

Location:
2220 N. Druid Hills Road
Atlanta, GA 30329

Schedule:

  • Days
  • Monday–Friday
  • 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM
  • 4 x 10-hour shifts
  • 40 hours/week

Requirements:

  • Active Georgia RN license or Compact (Multistate) RN License required.
  • Current AHA BLS certification required.
  • Current PALS certification required.
  • Previous Cardiac Operating Room (CVOR) experience required.
  • Pediatric operating room experience preferred.
  • Call participation is required.
  • Facility is nicotine-free; candidates must pass nicotine screening as part of the drug screen.
  • Influenza vaccination is mandatory. No medical or religious exemptions are accepted.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care for pediatric patients undergoing cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgical procedures.
  • Scrub and circulate during complex cardiac surgeries, ensuring adherence to sterile technique and surgical safety standards.
  • Prepare operating rooms by verifying equipment functionality, surgical instruments, implants, and specialty supplies required for cardiovascular procedures.
  • Assist surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and the multidisciplinary surgical team throughout operative procedures.
  • Monitor patient condition during surgery and respond promptly to changes in hemodynamic status or surgical needs.
