How you'll make an impact in this role:
  • Coordinate holistic patient care by acting as the primary link between all clinical disciplines, ensuring every member of the healthcare team is aligned on the treatment plan.
  • Deliver comprehensive, post-surgical care for adult cardiac surgery patients, vigilantly monitoring patient progress to ensure timely interventions and optimal recovery outcomes.
  • Advocate for patient safety by accurately executing physician orders and maintaining comprehensive records that provide a clear, reliable roadmap of the patient’s healing journey.
  • Navigate the discharge process in collaboration with the wider team to ensure patients and their families have a seamless, supported transition from hospital to home.
  • Lead with decisive judgment and advanced critical thinking to manage complex clinical scenarios with minimal supervision, maintaining a steady focus on excellence even in high-stress, fast-paced environments.
What minimum qualifications you'll need:

Licensure / Certification / Registration

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart
    Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing required.

Education:

  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
