Sign-on bonus: $15,000 commitment-incentive for experienced Registered Nurses, $12,000 for New Graduates

Our Behavioral Health Department embodies a culture of teamwork and effective communication, which are essential for providing specialized care to patients. This department provides clinical care for patients from Neonatal to Geriatric patients

How you'll contribute

A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:

  • Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs

  • Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions

  • Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient

  • Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record

  • Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient

  • Performs timely and accurate QI assessments

  • Performs plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.

  • Documents patient care provided in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.

  • Assists patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).

  • Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs).

  • Assesses learning needs and delivers age-/culture-appropriate patient and family education.

  • Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

  • Participates in unit and organizational performance improvement and required continuing education.

  • Provides quality patient care and works other shifts/units as needed; may be assigned on-call.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

  • Basic Life Support certification is required.
  • ACLS and PALS are required.
  • One year of experience preferred.
  • ASLS certification preferred.
