What We're Looking For:
    • Experience:

      • Minimum of one year of experience in Labour & Delivery, High-Risk Obstetrics, or Gynaecology Surgery preferred.

      • Candidates with more than one year of experience in these areas are strongly preferred.

      • Experience in an outpatient OB/GYN or women’s health clinic setting is an asset.

    • 4-Year / Bachelor’s Degree, preferred.

    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.

    • If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired, or lapsed for five years or more — and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years — successful completion of a Board-approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license.

    • In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.

        • Licensure/Certification:

          • Current RN licensure in the appropriate state required.

          • Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association required.

          • Additional certifications such as Fetal Monitoring, Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP), or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.

          Additional Skills/Requirements:

          • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and clinical assessment skills.

          • Ability to function independently while working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.

          • Strong patient advocacy and interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse patient populations.

          • Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems, preferably Epic.

What You'll Do:
    • Serve as a clinical leader and patient advocate, supporting safe, efficient, and high-quality care in the ambulatory setting
    • Perform comprehensive patient assessments that consider physical condition, psychosocial needs, cultural preferences, health literacy, and learning needs
    • Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based care plans in partnership with patients, families, providers, and interdisciplinary teams
    • Deliver specialty-specific nursing care, including medication administration, IV starts, injections, wound care, specimen collection, telephone triage, and patient education
    • Execute provider orders and nursing interventions accurately, safely, and in accordance with established clinical standards
    • Coordinate referrals, care transitions, and support services to promote continuity of care
    • Evaluate patient progress, adjust care plans as needed, and document clinical assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record
    • Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, providers, and care team members, using structured handoff and escalation tools as appropriate
    • Respond effectively to urgent or emergency situations and prioritize care based on patient needs and changing acuity
    • Foster a compassionate, respectful, and patient-centered environment through clear communication, inclusion, service excellence, and adherence to organizational values and safety practices
