Shift: Days, 5-8-hour shifts 8AM-4:30PM (no weekends, no holidays)

General Summary:

  • Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
  • Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.
  • Effectively communicates with the health care team.
  • Demonstrates clinical competence.
  • May require a professional certification which is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard for the position, works independently and in collaboration with principal investigator.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Bachelor Degree preferred.
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • Successful completion of HFMG Pharmacology test.
  • Certification will be required when it is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard, i.e., Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN).
  • Maintains and demonstrates current clinical knowledge in area of specialty.
  • Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
  • Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and medical group personnel.
  • Preferred experience in the specialty.
  • Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
  • At least 2 years' experience working with cardiac patient's inpatient, cardiac testing or ambulatory.
  • At least 2 years' experience as a Registered Nurse

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

  • Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current BLS or ACLS per HFHS policy.
