We are actively recruiting Registered Nurses with 2+ years of bedside experience (in any specialty) to transition into our Emergency Department. No prior ED experience is required — we provide comprehensive training, mentorship, and support to ensure your success.

What We’re Looking For:

  • ASN or BSN required (ASN-prepared RNs must obtain BSN within 3 years)

  • Minimum 2 years of bedside RN experience in any specialty OR 1 year of Emergency Department experience

  • Board certification required within 2 years

  • Compassionate, driven RNs who are ready to make a difference in a fast-paced, high-impact setting


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients’ health status and identify actual or potential health concerns

  • Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on clinical judgment and evidence-based practice

  • Evaluate patient responses and adjust interventions to achieve optimal outcomes

  • Engage patients and families in assessment, planning, care delivery, and evaluation

  • Supervise and direct care provided by Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP)

  • Delegate patient care appropriately to qualified members of the healthcare team

  • Coordinate care across interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive treatment

  • Contribute to a positive, professional, and collaborative unit environment

  • Deliver care aligned with organizational standards of excellence, patient advocacy, accountability, and autonomous nursing practice

Qualifications:

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: BSN and professional nursing board certification preferred at time of hire. All nurses hired after April 30, 2014 without a BSN will be required to obtain a BSN within three years of hire. All nurses hired after June 30, 2011 without a professional nursing board certification will be required to obtain a professional nursing board certification after two years of hire or at the certification eligibility date for those certifications requiring more than two years of experience. Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: Employees in this position: Will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose NOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or Shands automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current RN license in the State of Florida
