Were looking for a Registered Nurse to join our MAT Urgent Care Clinic at our Lake Charles location. Our Behavioral Health Services division provides comprehensive and coordinated outpatient services to individuals with mental illness and/or an addictive disorder (alcohol, drugs, or gambling) for both adults and children.

Minimum Qualifications

Possession of a current Louisiana Registered Nurse license or a temporary permit or multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state to practice as a registered nurse plus one of the following:

One year of experience as a licensed registered nurse; OR

A bachelors degree in nursing; OR

A masters degree in nursing or public health.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:

  • The incumbent participates in the planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and performance improvement of the Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) Urgent Care Program.
  • Coordinates and manages Nursing equipment/supply needs, consultation needs; develops and implements nursing protocol, policies, and procedures that relate to the provision of quality Nursing Services for the MAT Urgent Care.
  • Coordinates and participates in Quality Assurance measures that relate to the Nursing Services function within the program.
  • Nursing services may include but are not limited to: conduct nursing assessments; provide verbal order protocol in collaboration with credentialed prescribers; call in medication refills and working with pharmacies regarding prior authorization; administer injections; monitor medications; conduct urine drug and pregnancy screens, measure vital signs, weight, height, BMI, pulse, temperature, provide medication education and other pertinent health-related education; refer clients to appropriate community health care providers as needed; respond to medical emergencies.

Position-Specific Details:

Appointment Type: Job Appointment or probational. Job appointments last up to 4 years and may be converted to a probational appointment.

Work Schedule: Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday.

Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
