Position Title: Registered Dietitian (Part-Time) Job Description Summary:

We’re looking for a Registered Dietitian who’s excited to be part of a collaborative, supportive team that truly enjoys working together. In this role, you’ll care for adult and geriatric patients, managing a well-balanced caseload of about 12 patients per day while using your clinical expertise in medical nutrition therapy, nutrition assessments, and nutrition-focused physical exams to make a real impact. Job Description:

Purpose & Scope:

Responsible for providing quality and timely nutritional care to patients. Requires thorough knowledge and understanding of Regulatory, Departmental, and Hospital policies and procedures pertaining to nutritional care, including nutrition screening, assessment, and reassessment; food-drug interactions; enteral and parenteral nutrition support; patient education; and documentation. Must demonstrate competence in assessing the nutritional requirements of patients across the life-cycle, including: neonatal (birth -1 year), pediatric (1-11 years), adolescent (12-17 years), adult (18-65 years), geriatric (65 and over), and pregnant / lactating patients.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics is required.

Master’s degree is required for those who became registered after 2023.

Experience:

One year of experience in dietetics and acute care is preferred.

Certification/Licensure:

Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration to be obtained within six months.

Other Qualifications

A Registered Dietitian will oversee Registered Dietitian (RD) Eligible individuals by reviewing and signing off on their notes daily. A Registered Dietitian is responsible for placing orders for RD Eligible individuals when applicable.
