Position Overview:
The Registered Dietitian is responsible for assessing patients nutritional needs, developing personalized dietary plans, and providing education on healthy eating habits. The Dietitian will work together with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to incorporate nutritional interventions into the comprehensive patient care plan. The position responsibilities also include building and maintaining relationships with community partners.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide nutrition counseling and education to individuals and groups, addressing specific health conditions and dietary concerns. Including but not limited to diabetes, heart diseases, hypertension, obesity, malnutrition, and kidney diseases.
- Monitor patients progress and adjust nutrition plans as needed.
- Document patient interactions and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to integrate nutrition interventions into overall patient care and providing referrals to healthcare professionals as appropriate.
- Participate in community outreach programs to promote nutrition awareness and preventive healthcare.
- Provides monthly, quarterly and annual program reports.
- Stay updated on the latest nutritional research, guidelines, and trends to enhance patient care and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelors degree in nutrition, Dietetics, or related field
Licenses/Certifications:
- Registered Dietitian credentials and state license
- Valid TX Drivers License

- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Physical Demands:
- This role requires the ability to lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 pounds and bending & standing for periods at a time.
