Registered Dietitian (Medical Fitness & Longevity Division)

Silicon Valley (San Jose / Greater Bay Area) – Hybrid (Telehealth + occasional in-person/client-facing events)

Part-time or Full-time (flexible for the right candidate)

GYMGUYZ Silicon Valley is launching a Medical Fitness & Longevity Division that integrates:

  • Medical oversight (Nurse Practitioner)
  • Clinical Nutrition / MNT
  • In-home personal training and metabolic conditioning
  • Behavioral health and habit change

We specialize in women's hormonal health (PCOS, perimenopause, menopause), metabolic disease (prediabetes, diabetes), and long-term weight and body composition change.

We are looking for a California-based Registered Dietitian who wants to be part of a cutting-edge, concierge-style medical fitness team — not just another clinic job.

Role Overview

  • Lead our clinical nutrition strategy
  • Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) for eligible clients
  • Collaborate with our NP, behavioral specialist, and in-home training team
  • Help design and deliver high-touch, 6–12 month transformation programs for high-performing professionals and clients with metabolic or hormonal issues.

This role is a mix of:

  • 1:1 telehealth sessions
  • MNT documentation and billing support
  • Program design and case collaboration
  • Occasional live workshops / client education

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care & MNT

  • Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy for clients with conditions such as:
    • Prediabetes / diabetes
    • Obesity / metabolic syndrome
    • PCOS and other hormonal conditions
    • Cardiovascular risk factors (cholesterol, hypertension, etc.)
  • Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments, including:
    • Medical history
    • Lab values (in collaboration with NP)
    • Anthropometrics and body composition
    • Lifestyle and psychosocial factors
  • Develop individualized, lab-informed nutrition care plans aligned with each client's medical and fitness program.
  • Deliver ongoing follow-up sessions to evaluate outcomes, adjust plans, and support long-term adherence.

Program & Team Integration

  • Collaborate closely with:
    • Nurse Practitioner (for labs, meds, clinical oversight)
    • Behavioral Specialist (for emotional/behavioral barriers to change)
    • Head Coach & Training Team (for integrating nutrition with training cycles)
  • Participate in periodic case review meetings to coordinate care plans and program progression.
  • Help design our 6-month and 12-month Medical Fitness programs, including:
    • Nutrition protocols for GLP-1 clients
    • PCOS/menopause-specific tracks
    • Longevity / performance nutrition tracks

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation consistent with MNT standards and payer requirements.
  • Support MNT billing workflows (coding, documentation standards, session duration/type).
  • Ensure all practice is compliant with California regulations for RDs and federal MNT guidelines.

Education & Content

  • Create educational materials (handouts, simple guides, small group education topics) for:
    • GLP-1 + nutrition integration
    • PCOS/menopause nutrition
    • Strength training and protein/energy needs
  • Occasionally contribute to workshops, webinars, or content for our high-value clients and corporate partners.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Current Registered Dietitian / RDN credential
  • Active California RD license or certification recognized by state requirements
  • In good standing with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in:
    • Clinical nutrition
    • Outpatient counseling, or
    • Metabolic / weight management / endocrine settings
  • Comfort working with:
    • Prediabetes / diabetes
    • Obesity and metabolic syndrome
    • Women's hormonal issues (PCOS, perimenopause, menopause) – or strong willingness to specialize here
  • Strong communication skills and comfort using telehealth platforms

Preferred:

  • Experience with MNT billing and documentation
  • Prior work with GLP-1 or weight-loss medication patients (in collaboration with MD/NP)
  • Experience in sports nutrition, performance, or strength training populations
  • Interest in functional medicine / integrative nutrition (within evidence-based practice)

Schedule & Compensation (Ballpark – Silicon Valley)

  • Flexible schedule (some evenings/weekends may be needed to match client needs).
  • Role can start part-time with option to grow to full-time as the division scales.
  • Estimated salary range (FTE): $85,000 – $110,000/year depending on experience and scope
  • Estimated hourly range (part-time / contractor): $45 – $65/hour DOE
  • Potential for performance-based bonuses tied to successful program outcomes and division growth.

Flexible work from home options available.

Compensation: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
