Job Summary and Qualifications -----------------------------

The TriStar Food & Nutrition Registered Dietitian will be an experienced and competent dietetic professional with a Bachelors degree or higher who is responsible for the assessment, intervention, implementation, and monitoring/evaluation of patients through the Nutrition Care Process. This role will provide excellent customer service to all patients and employees.

What you will do in this role ---------------------------

  • Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care for patient populations served by his/her discipline.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patients requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs.
  • Demonstrate knowledge to assess, plan, and evaluate care in coordination with the healthcare team across the continuum.
  • Provide quality food for all customers in a sanitary work environment.

Qualifications -------------

  • TN Registration as a Dietitian.
  • B.S. Registered with CDR.
  • Hospital experience preferred.
  • Commission Dietetic Registration must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
  • Licensed Dietitian must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.

About Parkridge East Hospital -----------------------------

Parkridge East Hospital is a 120-bed facility in East Ridge. We provide a full range of medical and surgical services, including orthopedics and robotic surgery. We have a 247 Emergency Department, which is recognized by the Society of Chest Pain Centers as an Accredited Chest Pain Center. The facility also offers obstetrical care and complex gynecological procedures. We also hold a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Specialized providers in the NICU include neonatologists, neonatal nurses, and respiratory therapists. These staff are on site at all times.
