QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Completion of an ACEND‑accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD).
  • Completion of an ACEND‑accredited Dietetic Internship (DI) with at least 1,000 supervised practice hours.
  • Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
  • Certified Dietitian‑Nutritionist (CDN) in New York State preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EMR systems.
  • Ability to multitask, problem‑solve, and adapt in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements including standing, walking, lifting, and bending throughout the workday.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide medical nutrition therapy to patients across diverse clinical needs.
  • Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to support patient recovery.
  • Document all assessments, interventions, and progress notes in the EMR.
  • Participate in patient education and counseling.
  • Utilize menu management and electronic medical systems (CBORD, Meditech).
  • Maintain compliance with departmental, hospital, and regulatory standards.
  • Support departmental initiatives and contribute to a positive patient experience.
