Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work one-on-one with clients under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement behavior intervention plans and support skill development. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Implement behavior intervention plans as written by a BCBA
- Provide one-on-one ABA therapy in home, clinic, school, or community settings
- Collect accurate data & documentation on client progress and behavior
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and social skills development
- Maintain professional and ethical standards in accordance with the BACB
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, caregivers, and team members
- Participate in ongoing training and supervision
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Utilize Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques to teach new skills and reduce challenging behaviors
- Ensure a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment
Qualifications
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Completion of RBT 40-hour training
- Experience working with individuals with autism or related developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy principles and techniques
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with clients and their families
- Ability to follow behavior intervention plans effectively
- Proficiency in medical documentation and record-keeping
- Understanding of behavior management strategies and crisis intervention techniques
