Description


The Regional VP of Operations will have the responsibilities of
increasing profitable revenue, managing the rental assets, and maximizing market
share within their respective regional business unit. The role provides leadership,
mentoring, and coaching to managers ensuring safe and efficient operational processes
are implemented and executed across the business in support of business goals.

The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices on a daily
basis: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values;
2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development.

Key Responsibilities


  • Hires, develops, evaluates, and influences effective and consistent productivity and teamwork to ensure the delivery of Legendary Customer Service (LCS)
  • Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models and processes to ensure alignment with
    our Vision, Values, and Mission
  • Provides strategic direction, market analysis, business planning, and operational
    oversight to the management team; Defines key business drivers and metrics
    and provides necessary resources
  • Provide oversight on operational performance, opportunities, financial issues and
    matters of strategic importance
  • Supervises the activities of the operations, service, transportation, finance
    departments, and all other supporting roles across multiple districts
  • Analyzes and reviews all assets for the purpose of determining utilization,
    financial return, and overall performance
  • Trains District Managers in ensuring competence with all company policies
  • Promotes a culture of safety and discipline through leadership, exemplary
    personal compliance, accountability and communication
  • Drives performance improvement across the organization by looking for
    opportunities and deficiencies
  • Reviews and analyzes financial, operational, marketing, staffing, organizational
    structure and customer data, and strategy
  • Maintained high levels of customer satisfaction as measured by various surveys
    and metrics
  • Establishes expectations, processes, and metrics for employee behavior and
    actions that influence customer satisfaction
  • Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies
    with all company policies, procedures, and standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise


  • Expertise in technical aptitude and understanding of specialty rental equipment and rental industry
  • Demonstrated skills of business accounting principles, budget preparation, and
    strong business acumen
  • Proven ability to lead and implement key strategic projects that have significantly
    improved the profit and growth trajectory of a business
  • Genuinely interested in exponentially growing the Company’s business and
    transforming its operations for successful longevity
  • Driven and results-oriented; business development, KPIs, and market expansion
    to meet corporate targets
  • Coaching/mentoring experience with branch personnel
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills sufficient to engage with vendors, own staff, and
    corporate executives to exchange information, influence and persuade
  • First-class presentation skills before both small and large groups
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills to include Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of personnel within the organization
    and customer operations
  • Ability to understand the implications of new information for both current and
    future problem-solving and decision-making
  • Ability to perform mathematical computations such as percentages, fractions,
    addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division quickly and accurately
  • Ability to interpret extensive technical instructions in mathematical or diagram
    form and understand several abstract variables
  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced, high-volume
    environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures,

Benefits


Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Administration, or Construction Management, or related field preferred
  • 10 or more years of directly related business and/or operational management
    experience in the construction equipment rental industry leading diverse teams
    and offering a broad range of product offerings
  • At minimum, five years of previous management experience required 
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • This position directs and manages the employees within assigned business unit. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and development;
    appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints
    and resolving problems.

Travel:
  • Up to 50% travel, to include overnight stays
  • Valid driver’s license
Physical Requirements:
  • This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally, occasional movement inside the office to access office machinery, file cabinets,
    etc.
  • This role frequently communicates with others, must be able to exchange
    accurate information in these situations
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones,
    photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machine
  • Must be able to move objects, and use abdominal and lower back muscles to
    provide support over time without fatigue
  • The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or
    both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects
  • Frequently moves materials or equipment weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual
    dexterity, coordination, and stamina
  • Ascend/descend with gradual or continuous progress by oneself, using both
    hands and feet and climb up and down ladder
  • Be able to safely maneuver and work underneath equipment
  • Routinely reacts to visual, auditory, and other signals, including alarms and
    instructions, and is required to visually inspect work
  • Safety training required; PPE required outside of office/parking lot area
Work Environment:
  • This job is generally performed in a professional office environment
  • Occasionally works outdoors and may be exposed to weather extremes
    conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity
  • Noise level may be loud at times
  • Exposure to small quantities of chemicals, steam, high-pressure water, and highspeed
    rotating equipment
  • On occasion time spent in confined spaces and high places
  • Frequently works at fast pace with unscheduled interruptions
