The Opportunity
Our client is a growing industrial manufacturing organization seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead business development and account growth across the Western United States.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a consultative sales professional who enjoys building long-term customer relationships, developing new business, and partnering with manufacturing customers to solve complex operational challenges.
The successful candidate will own a multi-state territory, working directly with manufacturers, food processors, OEMs, converters, and packaging organizations to grow existing business while identifying new opportunities for expansion.
Success in this role comes from developing trusted partnerships with plant managers, maintenance leaders, engineering teams, operations executives, and procurement professionals while delivering technical solutions that improve manufacturing performance, increase efficiency, and reduce downtime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow an established sales territory throughout the Western United States.
  • Develop strategic relationships with existing customers while identifying and securing new business opportunities.
  • Conduct regular customer visits to manufacturing facilities, corporate offices, and production sites.
  • Understand customer operations and recommend technical solutions that improve productivity, efficiency, and operational performance.
  • Present consultative sales proposals, product demonstrations, and value-based business solutions.
  • Partner closely with engineering, operations, customer service, and manufacturing teams to ensure exceptional customer support.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline while providing accurate forecasting and territory planning through CRM.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to identify opportunities for continued growth.
  • Represent the organization at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings.
  • Travel throughout the territory to strengthen customer relationships and expand market presence.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate is a relationship-driven sales professional with strong technical aptitude and experience selling into manufacturing environments.
Qualified candidates will possess:
  • 5+ years of industrial B2B sales experience with a demonstrated history of territory growth.
  • Experience selling engineered, technical, or industrial products into manufacturing, food processing, packaging, converting, OEM, or related industrial markets.
  • Proven success developing both existing customer relationships and new business opportunities.
  • Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to engage operations, engineering, maintenance, manufacturing, and procurement leadership.
  • Experience calling on manufacturing plants and industrial production facilities.
  • Ability to manage complex sales cycles while developing long-term customer partnerships.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 40–50% throughout the Western United States.

Why Consider This Opportunity?
  • Join a growing organization with a strong reputation in its industry.
  • Take ownership of a well-established, high-potential territory with significant opportunity for growth.
  • Sell highly engineered, value-added solutions that directly improve customer productivity and operational performance.
  • Work in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment where your contributions have a visible impact.
  • Competitive base salary, uncapped incentive opportunity, comprehensive benefits, and long-term career advancement.
