A Regional Sales Manager is responsible for securing and achieving budget revenue and profit goals for the company, as well as maximizing the sales team to its full potential. This individual operates under limited supervision and directly reports to the Director of Sales. The Regional Sales Manager is expected to work as necessary to perform duties required.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the recruiting of sales team.
  • Achieves growth while hitting sales targets by successfully managing the sales team.
  • Develop and implement strategies for gaining and maintaining the regional market share.
  • Assist in developing Individual Sales Plans for each salesperson.
  • Mentors the sales team and set sales goals in conjunction with budget.
  • Monitors the overall and individual performance of sales team using CRM, monthly and quarterly reviews in coordination with the Director of Sales.
  • Travel to customer locations and job sites to make sales calls and follow up on customer needs.
  • Attends industry exhibits, demonstrations, and networking activities with various trade associations.
  • Works closely with Credit Manager to resolve credit/payment issues.
  • Reports, assign tasks, tracks KPI's and collaboration within a CRM work environment
  • Conduct quarterly reviews with salespeople and the Director of Sales
  • Performs other tasks assigned by the Director of Sales.
  • Stay current on emerging equipment, technologies, and tools that provide W.O. Grubb with a competitive advantage.
  • Assists in development of sales training
  • Works closely with the National Accounts Manager to pursue large-scale projects while also engaging existing customers across other regions
  • Leads ongoing industry education programs to support the sales team's growth and effectiveness.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Essential:

  • Must be proficient with basic computer skills.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Must have proficient oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills.
  • Possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test, background check, and fit for duty test.

Desired:

  • Prefer candidates with experience in NexGen, 3-D Lift Plan, PowerPoint, and OSHA 20.
  • Prefer candidates with at least an associate's degree.
  • Prefer candidates with at least 3 years of sales experience, preferably in heavy equipment sales.
