Overview
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing, cultivating, and expanding customer relationships and sales within an assigned market / territory.
Responsibilities
- Perform all required sales duties safely and professionally
- Promote and sell SDI Steel of West Virginia's product within an assigned market / territory
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet employee market objectives
- Develop new customers as well as expand market share with existing customers
- Monitor competitive landscape and continually provide effective feedback to the Market Manager
- Work effectively with Operations, Sales, Technical Service, Transportation, and Product Development to meet customer needs and improve satisfaction
- Facilitate relationships at all levels of customer's organization
- Strive to ensure that SDI is the Long Product supplier of choice for customers
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of outside sales experience
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- High-energy, self-motivated, and relationship driver
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel up to 50%, including overnight travel as needed
- Ability to obtain required documentation for occasional international travel
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel
