ETC is pleased to announce an opportunity to join our Midwest sales team as a Regional Sales Manager for our Commercial Controls product lines. This position is responsible for generating sales opportunities, working with our internal sales team, ETC dealers, electrical distributors, specifiers, contractors, and end-users. This position requires experience with commercial lighting control system design and 4+ years of related market or sales experience.

Ideally this position would be based from our company headquarters in Middleton, WI, however we are open to those who reside within our Midwest territory (ND, SD, NE, KS, MN, IA, MO, WI. IL, MI, IN, OH, KY). This position requires up to 50% in-territory travel.

Representative Responsibilities:

Grow the revenue and bookings of the commercial lighting markets in an assigned territory.

Coordinates all commercial lighting sales activity in assigned verticals within territory.

Implements pricing policy to maximize volume and profitability

Facilitates sales and develops new business, manage relationships with manufacturer representatives, resellers, specifiers, and key accounts in assigned territory.

Supports regional factory representatives

Monitors and makes recommendations to Territory Sales Manager on rep territory coverage

Makes recommendations to Territory Sales Manager on hiring and firing reps

Supports reseller activity

Monitors vertical sales activity of all resellers in the region

Makes recommendations to Territory Sales Manager about acquisition of new resellers and termination of existing resellers. Reports problems between Resellers to Territory Sales Manager; helps to resolve those problems

Helps demonstrate product and supplier information

Coordinates directly with Key accounts, specifiers and electrical contractors

Looks for new business opportunities

Works with reps to call on end users and specifiers (consultants, engineers, and architects) to get ETC specified on new projects

Coordinates Marketing within region

Attends regional trade shows and conducts product demonstrations

Follows up on leads from national trade shows

Introduces new products within vertical to the reps, resellers, and specifiers

Ensures reps are comfortable with new products and actively promoting them

Coordinate and collaborate with other vertical RSMs to maximize business within the territory

Helps organize and curate sales activity data in CRM system

Works with Territory Sales Manager and other Vertical RSMs to create forecasts and develop plans to the meet companys annual budget goals and progress corporate objectives

Acts as a conduit of customer feedback to marketing and professional service teams

Other duties as assigned.

Special projects and requests are completed in a timely and positive fashion.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree or 8 years of comparable business experience in increasingly responsible positions in the related discipline

4 + years of job-related experience or extensive sales knowledge

Commercial lighting control system design experience preferred

Knowledge of company policies

Excellent communications, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Excellent customer service skills

Computer skills

Knowledge of shipping methods

Knowledge of ETC architectural and commercial products
