Position Title: Regional Sales Manager (RSM)

Location: Remote - US; preferred areas: Atlanta, GA; Seattle, WA

Job Summary:

The RSM is a remote-based position located within designated territorial regions.

As an RSM, you will be responsible for identifying, building, and managing customer relationships to drive revenue growth across our automation product and service solutions.

You will manage current and new regional accounts, create sales strategies, negotiate contracts, and ensure customer needs are met with high-tech solutions and services. You will also closely monitor market trends and collaborate with internal teams to maintain a competitive edge.

Job Responsibilities:


Develop and execute sales strategies targeting automation solutions for regional customers, with a specific focus on packaging automation and high-speed production mail automation
Build, maintain, and expand a robust sales pipeline by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, while maintaining existing accounts
Develop, Negotiate and Close contracts to ensure revenue and profit goals and client satisfaction.
Provide automation solution recommendations based on customer-specific needs, ensuring products align with both current and future application requirements.
Monitor competitors, market trends, and new products to maintain a competitive edge in automation technologies, particularly in the packaging and mailing sectors.
Track all sales activities, client interactions, and opportunities within Salesforce CRM
Presents a monthly, quarterly and annual pipeline and booking plan that meets or exceeds quarterly and annual individual sales goals and business revenue targets.
Conducts application and test materials review to ensure products meet the customer's current and future application requirements and ensure test materials are available to the factory for all closed system sales.
Resolves customers' complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and providing recommendations.
Collaborate with technical and regional teams to ensure customers receive the best service and product solutions.

Required Skills & Competencies:


Strong understanding of automation solutions, particularly in packaging, industrial automation, and high-speed mail production systems, with the ability to articulate technical product benefits.
Excellent negotiation, persuasion, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to manage complex accounts and multiple stakeholders across different regions.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and Salesforce CRM.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with teams to meet sales goals.

Education & Experience:


Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in sales, with a focus on automation solutions & services, packaging systems, industrial automation, and high-speed mail production systems.
Proven experience in handling large, multi-site accounts and negotiating high-revenue contracts.
Familiarity with proposal development, quoting, and delivering technical sales presentations.

Travel:
Approximately 50% of travel is required to meet with clients and support sales efforts.

Physical Requirements:


You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to remain seated for extended periods (up to 75% of the time).
Proficiency in typing, operating office equipment, and reviewing correspondence is required.
Ability to move around the office to access various equipment and files.
