We are currently seeking an experienced: REGIONAL RISK MANAGER Job Summary: Administers/Implements the Risk Management Program for all operating divisions of Liberty Healthcare Group (including Home care, hospice, LTC, and Senior Living) Assesses operating risks involving clinical (patient care and regulatory), business (safety/WC), and legal (claims processing/investigation) risk exposures and liabilities Serves as a liaison with corporate management, employees, insurance companies, and regulatory/legal agencies to minimize asset losses through the establishment of comprehensive policies, procedures, ongoing audits, best practices, and consistent quality improvement Implements systems, policies, and procedures for the identification, collection, and analysis of risk-related information Educates leadership, staff and business associates, and helps to define their respective roles in supporting the risk management program Leads facilities, and advices departments in designing risk management programs within their own departments Collects, evaluates, and maintains data concerning patient injuries and care metrics, liability claims, workers compensation, and other risk related data Investigates and analyses root causes, patterns, or trends that could result in compensatory or sentinel events. Helps to identify and implement corrective action where appropriate Provides timely reports to Director of Risk Management on incidents, site visits, claims and claims payments Works with legal counsel to coordinate investigation, processing, and defenses to claims made against the organization Actively participates in facilities committees related to risk management, safety, and quality improvement Job Requirements: Registered Nurse with a bachelors degree or related clinical or allied health field (NP, FNP, GNP, or PA) Prior experience in LTC, home care, and/or hospice environment and current certification as a nursing home administrator preferred Certified Risk Manager or capable of attaining professional certification within 12 months of employment A minimum of 5 years experience in one or more of the following fields; Risk Management, QI/QA, Healthcare Administration, Insurance investigation/Settlement. 7 years of direct risk management experience in a healthcare environment is preferred Visitwww.libertycareers.comfor more information.
