Description:
Position will be responsible for coordinating the provider on-boarding and orientation process. Serves as a point of contact for new providers and facilitates the steps and communication needed to complete the onboarding and orientation processes. Position will work closely with Physician Recruitment team and area practices to ensure a smooth transition of all Physicians and APPs to all St. Mary's Health Care System services. This role ensures accuracy, consistency, and efficiency across systems such as Epic, Workday, and provider onboarding platforms. This position serves as a key liaison between Medical Staff Services, Marketing, St. Mary's Medical Group, Health Informatics, IT, and other operational partners.
Position Requirements:
Licensure/Certification: Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Epic Credentialed Trainer certificates (or willingness to pursue)
Education: Bachelor's Degree required; health care field preferred
Experience: Medical staff office experience preferred, strong relationship building skills required, and experience working with providers. Basic knowledge of provider credentialing/onboarding, medical terminology, and The Joint Commission standards preferred. Project management/coordination experience preferred.
Special Qualifications: Proficiency in Epic, Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), and ability to learn and implement emerging applications to improve workflow.
