About Buffalo Wild Wings

It all started over 30 years ago with two guys driven by hunger. Jim Disbrow and Scott Lowery had just moved to Ohio from Buffalo, New York, and were craving authentic Buffalo-style chicken wings. When they couldn't find any nearby, they made a bold choice: open their own joint.

Today, Buffalo Wild Wings® is the ultimate neighborhood sports bar—bringing fans together with a front-row seat for every game, an unbeatable energetic atmosphere, and 26 signature sauces and seasonings. We live by a simple set of core values: Serve Others, Own Your Work, Invent Something, Never Give Up, and Be an All-Star.

Position Overview

We are seeking an urgent, highly skilled Regional Manager to lead, inspire, and drive operational excellence across assigned sports bar locations.

As a Regional Manager, you are the cornerstone of unit-level leadership. You will bridge the gap between home office vision and daily store execution—coaching General Managers, maximizing sales and profitability, maintaining peak sports bar environments (from AV setups to food safety), and cultivating a winning team culture.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

  • Coach & Develop: Staff, train, and continuously mentor General Managers and management teams, with targeted focus on Areas of Responsibility (AORs) and leadership pathways.
  • Cultivate Culture: Maintain an authentic Open Door Policy across all levels. Lead recognition and rewards programs in every sports bar to celebrate high performance.
  • Training Systems: Ensure every unit maintains at least three (3) Wing Certified Trainers (WCTs) and utilizes corporate training frameworks effectively.
  • Performance Management: Conduct routine GM one-on-ones, bi-annual General Manager performance appraisals, annual assistant manager reviews, and structured, results-driven GM meetings.
  • Compliance: Oversee human resource functions across all units to guarantee 100% compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.

Operational Excellence & Quality

  • Daily Execution: Ensure every store executes the Operations Gameplan, maintaining high standards for food quality, hospitality, and cleanliness.
  • Atmosphere Management: Deliver the signature Buffalo Wild Wings experience by enforcing superior audio/visual (A/V) management, sports coverage, and energy in every building.
  • Audits & Visits: Perform monthly store visits per restaurant, monthly Food Safety Audits, and quarterly Quality, Service, Cleanliness (QSC) reviews.
  • Facility Maintenance: Proactively oversee store interiors, exteriors, signage, landscaping, and equipment to keep every location in "like new" condition.
  • Safety & Standards: Maintain strict adherence to ServSafe, Responsible Alcohol Service, and HACCP guidelines.

Sales Building & Marketing

  • Local Strategy: Ensure every sports bar develops and executes an effective Local Store Marketing (LSM) plan alongside system-wide national promotions.
  • Guest Focus: Drive exceptional hospitality. Respond positively and promptly to guest feedback, empowering unit managers to turn challenges into brand loyalty.
  • Community Connection: Build professional relationships with local businesses and community organizations to build foot traffic and brand presence.

Financial Performance & Profits

  • P&L Responsibility: Partner with General Managers to review monthly financial statements, analyze trends, and achieve targeted profit goals.
  • Cost Management: Audit and manage key operational costs including Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), labor, supply management, and utility controls.
  • Financial Systems: Leverage tools such as Aspect and Aloha for scheduling, labor control, inventory, and proper store invoicing.
  • Goal Setting: Help store teams break down sales and profit targets so managers understand how to maximize store results and bonus potential.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of multi-unit or high-volume General Manager experience in QSR, casual dining, or sports bar concepts.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Business or Hospitality preferred.
  • Certifications: Valid ServSafe Manager certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
  • Skills: Strong financial acumen (P&L, labor tools, inventory management), excellent communication, and clear problem-solving under pressure.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to travel frequently across assigned units, stand for long periods, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed during store support.

About Company

It all started in 1982 with one restaurant in Columbus, OH. Since then we have grown to have a store in every state in the U.S. and continue to open restaurants around the world (You are welcome, Earth).

But really, all you need to know About Us is these three things: Wings. Beer. Sports. Why do those three things matter to us so much? Because that's what our fans want, and that's what we are all about making our fans happy.

No matter how many locations we have opened, where our corporate headquarters are or how many years we have been around one thing remains the same: Buffalo Wild Wings is the ultimate place to get together with your friends, watch sports, drink beer and eat wings.
