Summary: We are seeking an experienced and skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance operations of a government-contracted facility. As the Maintenance Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective planning, coordination, and execution of all maintenance activities to support the facility's operational efficiency, compliance, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy aligned with the facility's goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with leadership to establish long-term maintenance plans and budgets.
- Team Leadership:
- Manage and lead a team of maintenance professionals, including supervisors and technicians.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development.
- Preventive Maintenance:
- Implement and oversee a preventive maintenance program to ensure the ongoing reliability and efficiency of facility equipment and systems.
- Schedule and coordinate routine inspections and maintenance activities.
- Equipment Management:
- Manage the lifecycle of facility equipment, from procurement to decommissioning, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with regulations.
- Develop and maintain an accurate inventory of all equipment and assets.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to relevant government regulations, industry standards, and contractual requirements.
- Collaborate with regulatory bodies for inspections and audits.
- Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the maintenance department budget, optimizing resources for cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
- Provide regular financial reports and updates to leadership.
- Emergency Response:
- Develop and implement emergency response plans for maintenance-related issues.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to address emergency situations promptly and effectively.
- Contractor Management:
- Oversee the work of external contractors and service providers, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a leadership role within maintenance or facilities management, preferably in a government-contracted facility.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, equipment, and maintenance best practices.
- Familiarity with relevant safety and environmental regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and implement strategic plans and budgets.
- Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant software.
