Overview:

A Regional Floor Care Manager oversees specialized cleaning operations and maintenance projects across multiple facilities within a defined geographic area. They train site staff, enforce quality standards, and manage budgets for commercial flooring like carpet, vinyl tile, and hardwood. 

 

Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership & Training:Recruit, train, and supervise on-site floor technicians and custodial teams. Develop and lead training sessions on proper chemical usage and advanced equipment operation.
  • Quality Assurance & Audits:Conduct regular site inspections to ensure floor care standards (e.g., stripping, waxing, buffing, and shampooing) meet client and company expectations.

 

  • Operational Strategy:Create comprehensive floor maintenance schedules and allocate budgets for equipment, materials, and labor.

 

  • Compliance & Safety:Ensure all teams follow OSHA guidelines, utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and adhere to infection control protocols (crucial in healthcare or hospitality settings). [

 

Qualifications:

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience:Typically requires 2–5+ years of progressive management experience in commercial cleaning or facilities management, with hands-on expertise in hard floor and carpet maintenance.
  • Skills:Strong proficiency with heavy floor machinery (buffers, burnishers, extractors). Solid understanding of chemical properties and flooring material types.
  • Logistics:Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, as frequent travel between regional sites is required.
  • Soft Skills:Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities to manage multiple teams and client relationships simultaneously
