Lead, Build, and Elevate Senior Living Operations
Sunflower Communities is seeking a high-impact Regional Administrator (LALD) to lead multi-site operations across assisted living and memory care communities. This is a hands-on, executive-level role designed for a proven leader who can drive regulatory excellence, occupancy growth, and leadership development while maintaining a strong, resident-centered culture.
This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in multi-site oversight, operational strategy, and team development, and is excited to play a key role in stabilizing and scaling communities, including the continued growth of our Sartell location.
Regional Leadership Scope
• Lead multi-site operations across assisted living and memory care communities.
• Build and implement training, onboarding, and leadership development programs.
• Set expectations for culture, accountability, and performance across all locations.
• Oversee staffing strategy, retention, and leadership bench strength.
• Own regulatory compliance, survey readiness, and risk mitigation.
• Ensure consistent resident-centered care and dementia-capable programming.
• Drive occupancy growth, census development, and move-in conversion.
• Manage budgets, labor performance, agency usage, and cost control.
• Maintain compliance with Minnesota Assisted Living Licensure, BELTSS, and MDH standards.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
• Conduct routine site visits, audits, and operational reviews using KPIs and dashboards.
• Support new development and pre-opening execution, including Sartell.
• Review incidents, grievances, and trends to proactively improve outcomes.
• Coach leaders on assessments, service plans, compliance, and admissions workflows.
• Partner with sales, marketing, and clinical teams to remove barriers to growth.
What Success Looks Like in the First 12 Months
• Improved MDH survey outcomes with reduced deficiencies.
• Measurable occupancy growth and faster move-in timelines.
• Strong labor performance with reduced agency reliance.
• Elevated memory care programming and staff competency.
• Highly engaged, accountable Executive Directors and leadership teams.
Required Qualifications
• Active Minnesota Licensed Assisted Living Director (LALD) in good standing.
• Proven multi-site leadership experience in assisted living and memory care.
• Track record of success in survey readiness, census growth, and financial management.
• Strong knowledge of Minnesota assisted living regulations and MDH processes.
• Ability to travel regularly between Waconia, Elmore, and Sartell.
• Willingness to participate in weekend, on-call, and limited holiday coverage.
Preferred Experience
• Experience with new building openings or operational turnarounds.
• Background in memory care programming and dementia-focused care models.
