Job Title: Regional Director of Operations

Position Overview
The Regional Director of Operations provides strategic and operational leadership across multiple sites, overseeing functions such as Sterile Processing, Transportation, and Facilities. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring regulatory compliance, developing leadership teams, and aligning regional performance with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Regional Leadership & Strategy:
- Oversee operational functions across multiple sites within the region
- Lead, mentor, and develop Directors, Managers, and Coordinators
- Establish regional goals, priorities, and performance standards
- Align operations with organizational strategy and growth initiatives
- Drive cross-functional integration for seamless operations
Operations & Compliance Oversight:
- Ensure compliance with AAMI, CDC, CMS, DOT, OSHA, and accreditation standards
- Maintain audit readiness and oversee regulatory inspections
- Standardize workflows, documentation, and operational processes
- Monitor performance trends and proactively mitigate risks
Leadership Development & Talent Management:
- Mentor and coach leadership teams across sites
- Build succession plans and leadership pipelines
- Drive accountability and performance management
- Support recruitment and onboarding of leadership roles
Quality, Throughput & Continuous Improvement:
- Manage KPIs related to quality, turnaround time, and service delivery
- Lead root-cause analysis and corrective action planning
- Identify and implement best practices across locations
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with clinical partners and healthcare systems
- Align operations with service-level agreements and expectations
- Partner with internal teams across Operations, Logistics, and Facilities
- Represent the region in executive-level planning and strategic discussions
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards and compliance
- Proven ability to lead multi-site operations
- Experience building and managing high-performing teams
- Background in complex or high-growth operational environments
- Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills
Education & Qualifications
- 10+ years of operational experience
- 5+ years in multi-site leadership roles
- Experience in Sterile Processing, Logistics, Facilities, or related areas
- CRCST certification or equivalent strongly preferred
