Lead a portfolio of senior living communities across the Houston market — including Independent Living — as the Regional Director of Operations for Pegasus Senior Living. You’ll partner with Executive Directors to drive quality care, occupancy growth, and strong financial results while championing a culture that puts residents first.

You can be based anywhere within driving distance of the Houston metro. Most of your time (roughly 4 days per week) will be spent on-site across your communities.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee day-to-day operations across a portfolio of Independent Living communities in the Houston area
  • Manage and develop a team of Executive Directors — holding them accountable for community-specific goals while investing in their long-term growth
  • Drive occupancy, revenue, and NOI performance; lead monthly financial reviews and strategic planning with executive leadership
  • Be a visible, on-the-ground presence: assess care quality, resident satisfaction, and team engagement across your communities
  • Identify competitive risks and opportunities; build action plans that keep each community ahead of the market
  • Ensure licensure compliance and maintain strong relationships with referral sources and community partners
  • Step in as interim Executive Director as needed to maintain continuity of leadership
  • Champion a resident-focused culture that aligns with Pegasus’s mission and values

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years as an Executive Director in senior living (required)
  • 2–5 years in a regional management role in senior living, nursing, or a related healthcare field (preferred)
  • Experience overseeing Independent Living communities is a strong plus
  • Assisted Living, Memory Care, and/or Skilled Nursing Administrator’s License preferred; ability to obtain required state licensure required
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong financial acumen — you can read a P&L, manage budgets, and develop strategic operating plans
  • Proven track record of improving safety, care quality, resident satisfaction, and team engagement across multiple communities
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills; comfortable operating at all levels of the organization
  • Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and ability to travel extensively throughout the Houston market

Why Pegasus Senior Living?

  • Make a meaningful impact in the lives of seniors and the teams who serve them
  • Join a company that invests in your development and promotes from within
  • Collaborative culture with strong corporate support across operations, finance, HR, and marketing
  • Stable, growing organization with a commitment to quality and innovation in senior care
