Regional Director of Operations – Contract

Location: Modesto, CA

Duration: 14 Weeks

Shift: Monday – Friday

Hours: 40 Hours Per Week

Responsibilities:

  • Provide regional leadership oversight across Sterile Processing, Transportation, and Facilities operations.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop site-level directors, managers, and coordinators.

  • Establish and maintain regional performance goals, operational standards, and best practices.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.

  • Standardize workflows, documentation, and operational processes across multiple facilities.

  • Monitor operational performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Drive root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Support leadership development, succession planning, and performance management.

  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and development of operational leaders.

  • Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and executive leadership teams.

  • Participate in executive reporting and strategic planning initiatives.

  • Promote operational efficiency, accountability, and service excellence across all sites.

Preferred:

  • CRCST or equivalent certification.

  • Experience overseeing Sterile Processing, Transportation, or Facilities operations.

  • Strong background in healthcare operational leadership.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of healthcare or operational leadership experience.

  • 5+ years of multi-site leadership experience.

  • Strong knowledge of AAMI, CDC, CMS, OSHA, and DOT regulations.

  • Experience managing operational performance metrics and KPIs.

  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.

  • Strong process improvement and operational efficiency experience.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills.

  • Ability to drive accountability and performance across multiple sites.
