Regional Director of Clinical Services
Skilled Nursing / Multi-Facility Clinical Operations
We are seeking an experienced Regional Director of Clinical Services to support multiple skilled nursing facilities with a focus on clinical stabilization, regulatory compliance, survey readiness, and sustainable process improvement.
This role is ideal for a strong regional nurse who can step into underperforming environments, quickly identify clinical and regulatory risk, support facility leadership, and drive measurable improvement across multiple buildings.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical oversight and support to assigned skilled nursing facilities.
- Identify and correct clinical, regulatory, and operational risk areas.
- Support facilities before, during, and after surveys.
- Partner with DONs, Administrators, and regional leadership to improve clinical performance.
- Standardize clinical processes across buildings.
- Monitor audits, quality measures, documentation, care planning, infection control, wound care, and resident outcomes.
- Support plans of correction and survey readiness efforts.
- Help reduce agency utilization through improved clinical leadership and staffing discipline.
- Improve cost awareness and operational accountability within facility teams.
- Coach and hold facility clinical leaders accountable while maintaining strong working relationships.

- Facilities move out of immediate regulatory risk.
- No denial of payment for new admissions.
- Improved survey readiness and audit outcomes.
- Standardized clinical systems across assigned facilities.
- Reduced agency utilization.
- Improved quality measure performance.
- Stronger accountability from DONs and facility clinical teams.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license in good standing.
- Strong skilled nursing clinical leadership experience.
- Deep understanding of SNF regulations, survey process, and clinical compliance.
- Experience supporting underperforming or high-risk facilities.
- Ability to influence DONs, Administrators, and facility teams without always having direct authority.
- Strong clinical judgment, urgency, follow-through, and communication skills.
- Ability to travel regularly to assigned facilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior Regional Nurse, Regional Director of Clinical Services, Corporate Nurse Consultant, or multi-site clinical leadership experience.
- Experience with behavioral health, substance use, or complex resident populations.
- Experience working in union environments.
- Experience improving quality measures, reducing agency usage, and supporting survey recovery.
