This is a hands‑on operations leadership role responsible for overseeing shift teams within a chemical manufacturing environment, ensuring safe, efficient and reliable plant performance. You will play a key role in driving production results, developing people and maintaining operational excellence.

Description

Reporting directly into the Senior Manager of Operations, you will be responsible for:

    • Lead, direct and support shift‑based operations teams to ensure safe and reliable plant operation
    • Enforce and promote strict adherence to health, safety and environmental standards for employees and contractors
    • Plan and execute daily and weekly production schedules to meet output, quality and cost targets
    • Monitor operational performance and KPIs, identifying and resolving process or equipment issues
    • Coordinate maintenance activities, follow up on corrective actions and ensure accurate system documentation
    • Ensure sufficient staffing and resources are in place to support uninterrupted operations
    • Develop team capability through coaching, cross‑training and performance management
    • Foster a strong culture of teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement
    • Ensure compliance with quality, food safety and regulatory programs (including HACCP and certification standards)
    • Prepare and analyze operational reports, sharing insights with senior leadership
    • Support new product introductions and change initiatives within the plant

Profile

  • Education: Degree in chemical engineering or other engineering discipline
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or team‑lead role within a manufacturing, processing or chemical manufacturing environment
  • Strong working knowledge of production operations, maintenance coordination and safety systems
  • Confident communicator with the ability to lead, coach and address performance issues constructively
  • Comfortable working with operational data, reports and production planning tools (ERP experience beneficial)
  • Able to read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs and schematics
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including on‑call responsibilities when required
  • Practical, resilient and safety‑driven leadership style suited to a demanding operational environment

Rotating Weekly Schedule:

  • Week 1: 6 am - 2 pm
  • Week 2: 11:30 am - 7 pm
  • Week 3: 1 pm - 9 pm
