Job Description:
Position Summary: Full time (1.0 FTE) M-F. Coordinates functions associated with referral authorization processing for ambulatory care. Processes, monitors and assures that all functions are completed in an accurate, efficient and customer friendly manner. Is proficient at using eRecord. Is responsible for monitoring own performance on assigned tasks and duties. Self-directed: must make complex decisions independently and assist staff in complex decision making.
Uses excellent customer service and problem-solving skills to assure referrals and orders for durable medical equipment are processed in a timely fashion. This role maintains a high level of communication between clinicians and other team members to assure excellent patient care.
Essential Job Functions:
Performs under limited supervision, following the standard procedures, maintains confidentiality according to HIPAA & Strong Health Guidelines. Adheres to Highland Promise Standards of presenting yourself in a positive, professional manner, being respectful of each other and our patients, providing a safe and clean environment, providing excellent care and working as a team.
Salary Range:
$19.63 - $26.50 an hour
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma; or equivalent experience.
Experience: 2 years of experience; Medical terminology experience required. Knowledge of Microsoft office and electronic medical records preferred.
License/Certification Required: None
Skills: Requires the ability to tend to detail while in a busy atmosphere. Must be a self starter with a strong work ethic, able to prioritize and employ strong organizational skills. Candidate must also have a professional, polished demeanor as a key representative of the department and demonstrate ICARE values.
