The incumbent helps with the collection, organization, and preparation of recycled materials.
Duties:
Works with the public to collect recyclable materials delivered to the Recycling Center.
Responsible for manually sorting and moving materials via cart, in preparation for transportation or other processes.
Maintains the Recycling Center grounds, including but not limited to mowing, trimming, trash collection, painting, etc.
Completes other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Must be able to deal with the public in a courteous, effective, and tactful manner. Must be able to lift to 100 lbs., and engage in frequent pushing, pulling, crouching, stooping, reaching, and bending. Must be able to pass all applicable background and security screens. Recycling, heavy equipment, and material handling experience preferred.
