The Senior Program Manager will drive critical, high-impact programs that are global and centralized, supporting candidates and Talent Acquisition teams worldwide. This role requires the ability to see both the forest and the trees-diving deep into process design and optimization while developing program strategy and reporting status to senior leadership. You will own a portfolio of strategic initiatives from ideation to execution, delivering VP/Director-level work that enhances Amazon"s recruiting operations and candidate experience.

This dynamic role impacts Amazon Talent Acquisition, Tech, and global recruiting partners through diverse, high-impact programs. The ideal candidate brings expertise in program design, process development, and strategic initiatives within service or operational organizations. They thrive in ambiguous environments, are passionately curious, and excel at driving visions forward with influence without authority.

We seek a detail-oriented leader with proven analytical prowess and a track record of end-to-end ownership in delivering results. This customer-obsessed leader will develop specialized expertise in recruiting operations, working backwards from the customer to craft solutions, strategies, and manage escalations. If you"re highly resourceful, strategic yet execution-focused, and ready to make a significant impact in a fast-paced, ever-evolving landscape, we want to hear from you.

Key job responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • Shape the future of Amazon Talent Acquisition, owning critical goals to achieve growth, scale, and drive continuous innovation across global recruiting operations
  • Design, prioritize, and drive strategic programs and roadmap inputs that optimize recruiting processes, reduce candidate start time delays, and eliminate blockers to hiring efficiency
  • Partner with and influence recruiting organizations across Amazon globally, building relationships with stakeholders from multiple regions and translating business needs into operational solutions
  • Create and maintain complex program plans and manage project schedules; collaborate effectively across teams to drive commitment to timelines and deliverables
  • Define operational planning and work alongside the senior leadership team to establish strategic priorities and resource allocation
  • Own communications to project members and stakeholders on progress, issues, and risks including regular status updates, executive briefings, and white paper analysis
  • Lead the execution of programs with rigor and precision, developing new methods and mechanisms to drive repeatable delivery and operational excellence
  • Represent the voice of the customer-both candidates and recruiters-in stakeholder meetings, translating insights into sustainable process improvements and technology enhancements
  • Drive technology implementation and adoption, including design, configuration, change management, communications, training, and end-user adoption across global teams
  • Leverage data and metrics to identify opportunities, measure program impact, and drive continuous improvement in recruiting operations performance

About the Company

A

Amazon.com Inc

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
