The Recruiter, the direction of the HR Manager and General Manager, will identify employment needs.

DUTIES:

  • Screens and refers qualified applicants to hiring manager for interviewing.

  • Provide constant communication, feedback, and follow up with management and HR on recruitment status.

  • Ensure recruitment reports are kept current with the most up to date recruitment status information to update the business weekly on recruitment progress.

  • Develops sourcing methodologies across a variety of markets and geographies.

  • Utilize a variety of sourcing techniques to identify qualified candidates such as Internet based sourcing, social networking websites and media, job fairs, community networking (local employment council meetings, local colleges/universities), job fairs, ads/small newspapers, employee referral programs, web postings, database searches, direct competitor recruitment, technical schools, military, direct mailings, etc.

  • Develops and maintains professional relationships with university and college placement offices as a source to generate qualified applicants.

  • Effectively manage requisitions and update all candidate statuses in the applicant tracking system. - Analyze turnover metrics and exit interviews to understand attrition reasons and work with management to address potential areas of opportunity.

  • Under the direction of the Regional Director of Human Resources and the HR Manager, develop (or modify/correct) job descriptions within specification of the contract.

  • Create and implement marketing strategies and tools, within budgetary constraints, to include print advertisements, brochures, and flyers for job fairs, career days, etc. that will generate name recognition within the communities that Transdev serves.

  • Works with vendors for pricing, etc. - Ensure that appropriate documents are process for files ensuring compliance.

  • Assist with the instruction and training of various hiring programs, procedures, and processes to new users.

  • Conduct new hire orientations as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Ability to meet time to fill recruitment metric requirements for exempt level positions. - Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management and job candidates.

DUTIES:

  • Oversees repairs, preventive maintenance, servicing and cleaning of fleet.

  • Responsible for support services including heavy overhauls, light unit rebuilds, electronic and body repairs

  • Responsible for the ordering of parts and maintaining inventory.

  • Supervises maintenance personnel including hiring, training, scheduling, promoting, discipline and terminations.

  • Monitors technician performance and initiates appropriate disciplinary action in a manner consistent with company/location policy.

  • Ensures that all mechanics have the proper licenses and certifications.

  • Supervises and inspects major repairs and provide technical assistance to mechanics.

  • Responsible for directing the work of all technicians including the development of work orders and the evaluation of all repairs performed by both the technicians and outside vendors

  • Monitors radio communications during route times and ensures that all operator inquiries related to the mechanical operation of the vehicle are responded to immediately

  • Advises General Manager of individual situations that require further attention.

  • Responsible for vehicle titles and registration; which includes Vehicle Change Notice's and annual registration fees.

  • Responsible for DOT compliance and inspections of revenue and service equipment.

  • Other duties to ensure the efficient operation of the maintenance facility.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS/BS preferred. - At least 5 years related experience

  • At least 3+ years' experience providing recruitment support in a multi-geographic recruitment territory supporting multiple managers with both non-exempt and exempt level positions.

  • 2+ years' experience preferably in a high volume, challenging staffing environment.

  • Intermediate user of Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Strong recruitment skills utilizing Internet based sourcing techniques. Prior experience utilizing a Web based applicant tracking system.

  • Strong knowledge of employment law required specifically (FMLA, ADA, Title VII, etc.).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have exceptional customer service and follow up skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and networking skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and always maintain professionalism.

  • Ability to prioritize work and meet budgeted required staffing metrics.

  • Must be a team player and able to work well with a diverse group of internal and external customers.

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical examination including a drug test.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The essential functions of this position require the ability to:

  • Sit for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces

  • Push and pull objects, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level.
