JOB SUMMARY:
The Recruiter/Background Investigator position requires an individual with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, strong networking abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of the law enforcement profession. In this role, you will play a vital part in attracting, evaluating, and selecting highly qualified candidates to join our team.
Primary responsibilities include planning and coordinating recruitment initiatives, developing relationships with prospective applicants and community partners, representing the agency at recruiting events and outreach programs, conducting applicant screenings and interviews, administering pre-employment assessments, and completing background investigations in accordance with agency policy and applicable standards. The Recruiter/Background Investigator serves as a key ambassador for the organization, ensuring a professional, fair, and thorough hiring process while identifying candidates who demonstrate the integrity, character, and qualifications necessary for a career in law enforcement.
