Recreational Therapist - PHP Child and Adolescent
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Recreational Therapist to join our team at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. As a Recreational Therapist, you will work with children and adolescents to promote physical, emotional, and social well-being through recreational activities.
Responsibilities:
• Plan and implement recreational activities to meet the needs of children and adolescents with various physical, emotional, and cognitive disabilities • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans • Assess and evaluate the effectiveness of recreational therapy interventions • Provide education and support to patients, families, and caregivers on the benefits of recreational therapy • Maintain accurate records of patient progress and treatment outcomes
Requirements:
• Masters degree in Recreation Therapy or related field • Current licensure as a Recreational Therapist in the state of Connecticut • Experience working with children and adolescents with disabilities • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
