SALARY: $29.15 - $35.44 / Hour
OPENING DATE: 6/5/26

THE POSITION: Under direction, assists in the planning and delivery of selected recreation programs and activities to the community; provides assistance and support of recreation facilities and sites; performs other duties as required. May be assigned limited programming tasks for adult and youth sports, after-school programs, leisure classes, special events and educational programs.
Representative Duties
The following typical tasks and responsibilities are representative of this class. They are descriptive, not limiting. Essential Duties: Leads and implements recreational activities such as: center activities, sports, arts and crafts, special events, contests, drama, and other related activities at the following locations: a park, community center, school, or related facility; Interacts with various age groups, organizations, and recreation users to exchange ideas; Leads subordinate staff in programming, care, and maintenance of equipment, facility, and supplies; keeps records and encourages community involvement; Performs physical activities such as: setting up or taking down chairs and tables, carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds, preparing for special events and standing for long periods. ORAL APPRAISAL INTERVIEW (Weighted 100%): June 29th, 2026 (Tentative)
An appraisal will be made of the applicants experience, education, training, certification, knowledge, skills, abilities, and personal qualifications for the position. A minimum passing score of 70% is required.
