Adventure Awaits – Recreation Leader II
This position assists and supervises Recreation Leaders outside of regular business hours to address park issues needing immediate response. Additionally, the position will assist athletic association programs/activities in the evenings and weekends. General duties include visiting each of Johns Creek's four main parks (Shakerag, Cauley Creek, Ocee, and Newtown), providing supervision of Recreation Leader I's, and handling park facility rentals/5k's/athletics schedule as needed. In frequent contact with the general public and staff, employees must exercise considerable tact and courtesy.
Position Overview: Recreation Leader II responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day operations of athletic fields and park facilities, including supervising participants and programs, assisting special interest groups, and monitoring activities in a variety of areas. Recreation Leader IIs engage and interact with park visitors to answer questions and provide information and serve as a helpful, visible resource to enhance park visitors' experience and enjoyment of the park. They observe and report any issues regarding the condition of park facilities, broken/deteriorating park structures, needed repairs, public concerns/complaints, etc.
