Momentum at South Bay for Nursing and Rehabilitation is urgently seeking Per diem Recreation Aides.
- Must be upbeat, energetic and have a caring personality
- Must be reliable
- Must work as a team player
- Outgoing, warm, and caring personality
- Ability to create a program to get Residents involved and excited
- Dependable, Reliable and able to supervise activities, special events for the Residents
- Creative talents in one or more areas such as art, music, readings, dance, etc
- Demonstrates good listening and communication skills and follow through.
- Interest and experience in Music is a plus!
*Preferred two years’ experience in recreation in a geriatric setting, ability to work effectively as a team member
Requirements:
- A high school diploma and certain certifications may be required.
- More education or experience with nursing homes, short-term rehabilitation, recreational activities, event planning, or related may be preferred.
- Physical fitness's, ability to walk, dance, stand, lift, or meet other physical demands.
- Adaptability and strong organization and time management skills.
- Excellent resource management and record-keeping
- Patience and compassion when dealing with others, especially those who are sick, injured, elderly, or from different backgrounds.
- Flexibility to work when needed, especially some evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Willingness to adhere to and enforce all safety policies and procedures.
