WHO WE ARE LOOKING FORThe Treadwell Arena staff is a small group of dedicated individuals, and we are looking for a team player to join our crew. Ideally, we would like an individual who is interested in providing excellent customer service and assisting with recreational programming at a favorite recreational facility.WORKING HOURS AND LOCATIONThis position works a varied schedule (Monday through Sunday) 5:30am-midnight at Treadwell Arena in Douglas. Typical Responsibilities Opens and closes the facility as scheduledAssists with customer service duties such as answering phones, emails, collecting fees, responding to customer questions/complaints and distributing recreational equipmentSharpens ice skatesSubmits daily facility reports, accident/incident reports, equipment condition reports and other reports requiredInputs data and registration and scheduling software systems and generates reportsMonitoring and ensures safety of all participants in on-ice and off-ice activities including public & private skating/hockey sessions and special events for all agesAssists with enrolling participants in programs and classes, facility scheduling, registration, and event bookingsEnforces facility safety procedures and rules for participants and spectatorsInspects facility and equipment for cleanliness and safe conditionsEnsures the ice is cleared after each session and moves hockey nets for driver when neededAdministers basic first aid and CPR as neededPerforms other related work as required Minimum Qualifications Licensure:CPR/First Aid Certification within 30 days of employment.Other:Under Alaska Statute 12.62.160 (9) Appointments to this position are offered conditionally, pending the results of a criminal records report (Non-FBI).
