JOB SUMMARY AND QUALIFICATIONS

The RSTPSS Supervisor is responsible for the overall management and effective operation of the VOA Recovery program in Owensboro, KY. This role provides training support and coaching for the recovery support techs and peer support staff and manages the kitchen oversight of the program. This role involves working with all team members to ensure the delivery of high-quality care while maintaining compliance in all organizational and program policies and procedures. Ensures a positive and therapeutic environment for clients and staff and works collaboratively with other departments and community partners to support client recovery and program growth.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain operational control of the programs. • Provide strong leadership and provide direction to program staff. • Oversees day-to-day operations of Addiction Recovery Services. • Ensure programs operate within budget, manage resources effectively and responsibly. • Monitor program performance against established goals and objectives, identify areas for improvement, and implement the necessary changes. • Ensure a client-centered, trauma-informed approach to care, promoting dignity and respect. • Ensures that clients are receiving efficient and effective services within a trauma-informed environment. • Collaboratively develop and implement program policies and procedures, fostering a cohesive and collaborative team. • Implement and monitor risk management processes to ensure client and staff safety. • Conduct and document all individual supervision with shift supervisors, peer support supervisor, and the cook. • Ensure that staff are adhering to all ethical and professional standards. • Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and support staffs professional development. • Address staff performance issues in a timely and effective manner that adheres to our human resources policies. • Ensure Recovery Support Techs and Peer Supports complete all required training. • Foster a positive and supportive work environment that promotes staff well-being and retention. • Screen and interview recovery support staff, ensuring there is adequate staffing for programs. • Monitor the accuracy of non-clinical documentation completed by Recovery Support Techs. • Facilitate monthly staff meetings to ensure there is efficient and effective service delivery that adheres to all program procedures. • Address all client complaints and grievances, if unable to resolve, escalate them according to policy. • Insure facility cleanliness, maintenance, health, and safety of the facility. • Ensures that RSTPSS staff monitor client duties and chores. • Ensure fire and other safety measures are carried out and be familiar with basic functions of fire equipment, breaker panels, and evacuation plans. • Maintain a current CPR and First Aid certificate. • Maintain appropriate staff-to-client ratios by working closely with shift supervisors on scheduling of tech staff. • Ensure that staff and clients have sufficient supplies. • Attend treatment team meetings as required.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED. • Two years of post-secondary education. • Five years of prior experience in a treatment facility or other specialized knowledge and experience, and at least three years of supervisory experience required. • Valid drivers license and good driving record required. • Must have the ability to meet people and be CPR certified upon 30 days of employment.
