Horizon High School is a non-profit (501c3) private educational institution, incorporated in Wisconsin in 2004. We are a public-private collaboration and exist with some financial support from local school systems as well as the Wisconsin state legislature, with 50% of our funding is from donations and grants - mainly from small family foundations. Horizon closely follows the Madison Metropolitan School District's school year calendar, as well as operating a month-long summer school. Typically Horizon has between 10-15 students and a staff of 6 - 1 administrator, 2 teachers, and 3 recovery support specialists.
