GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Wyoming State Penitentiary is seeking an Office Support Specialist I to assist in our Records department . This entry-level position provides vital support to the records office through meticulous data entry and file management. We are looking for a highly detail-oriented candidate who can multitask effectively, work independently with limited supervision, and communicate clearly. Exceptional data entry accuracy and a strong working knowledge of spreadsheets and customized software are required. The ideal applicant will also possess basic math skills and a strong commitment to organization. Please note: The successful candidate must be able to obtain certification from the Department of Criminal Investigation for the NCIC and Sex Offender registration systems

Qualifications
PREFERENCES:
Preference will be given to those with data entry and filing experience and good communication skills with 2-4 years of progressive work experience in an office setting.

Associates Degree (typically in Business)
Experience:
0-1 year of progressive work experience (typically in Business Office Communications) with acquired knowledge at the level of an Office Assistant II
OR
Education & Experience Substitution:
2-4 years of progressive work experience (typically in Business Office Communications) with acquired knowledge at the level of an Office Assistant II
