Warehouse Receiving Lead – Edison, NJ
We are seeking a hands-on Warehouse Receiving Lead based in Edison, NJ who is actively involved on the warehouse floor and supports daily operations. This role requires a leader who can both manage and execute receiving activities in a fast-paced distribution environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and actively participate in daily warehouse receiving operations
- Support and work alongside the team on the warehouse floor as needed
- Oversee inbound receiving processes, including:
- Purchase order receiving
- Put-away activities
- Bin transfers
- Ensure accuracy and efficiency in inventory movement and warehouse flow
- Operate forklifts and assist with general warehouse operations as required
- Foster a team-oriented environment and work effectively with a diverse workforce
- Support overall warehouse performance in a high-volume distribution setting
Required Experience
- Proven experience leading teams in a warehouse or distribution environment
- Strong working knowledge of ERP and/or WMS systems
- Hands-on experience with warehouse receiving and operational workflows
- Forklift operation experience is required.
- Comfortable working directly on the warehouse floor
Preferred Experience (Not Required)
- Experience operating stand-up forklifts or reach trucks
- Background in inventory management (training can be provided in this area)
