Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Receiving Quality Inspector to support our manufacturing and receiving quality operations. In this role, you will ensure that all incoming materials, parts, and complex components meet rigorous engineering specifications and quality standards.
You will play a vital role in verifying product compliance, managing inspection documentation, and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to drive continuous improvement, investigate non-conformances, and maintain robust quality management systems within the autonomous vehicle sector.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform rigorous incoming and part-level inspections to verify that raw materials and components meet strict engineering blueprints and quality standards.
  • Process incoming inventory and document inspection results accurately using enterprise tracking tools such as SAP and Jira.
  • Conduct comprehensive visual, functional, and mechanical measurements across diverse components, including injection-molded parts, metal castings, 3D-printed items, printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs), and electrical sub-assemblies.
  • Execute precision metrology inspections utilizing Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and specialized handheld measurement tools as required.
  • Create, update, and maintain detailed inspection plans, technical work instructions, and quality compliance documentation.
  • Partner with cross-functional manufacturing and engineering teams to investigate root causes, resolve quality issues, and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Support quality metric reporting, data tracking, and continuous process improvement initiatives across receiving and manufacturing operations.
Qualifications & Required Skills
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of quality inspection experience within a manufacturing environment (automotive, semiconductor, or aerospace fields are strongly preferred).
  • Inspection Expertise: Demonstrated ability to interpret control plans, read engineering drawings, and execute quality criteria for mechanical, electrical, and electronic parts.
  • Technical Software: Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) with familiarity using ERP or issue-tracking platforms (such as SAP and Jira).
  • Analytical & Soft Skills: Strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills combined with clear written and oral communication capabilities.
  • Safety & PPE Requirement (Day 1): Must wear and maintain safety footwear that conforms to ASTM F 2412 (Standard Test Methods for Foot Protection) and ASTM F 2413 (Standard Specification Performance Requirements for Foot Protection), specifically requiring Composite Toe and Electrostatic Dissipative (ESD) ratings.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on background inspecting mechanical and electronic equipment using advanced precision measurement tools.
  • Prior industry experience in contract manufacturing, automotive supply chains, or technology-driven hardware environments.
