Position: Receiving Clerk

Starting Rate: $18.00/hour

Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:30am-5:00pm

JOB SUMMARY:

Maintains accurate receiving records and verifies the incoming shipments as they are unloaded at the distribution center.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Utilizes WMS/ASN paperwork to receive and verify inbound shipments and check in inbound carriers
  • Responsible for purchase order receipt and verification, and tracking of all manual purchase orders
  • Creates and sends email to Logistics team on all receipt discrepancies
  • Communicates cross-functionally to resolve receiving issues and unidentified packages that are received
  • Communicates with buyers & planners in Asia office to correct receiving discrepancies
  • Collaborates with the receiving team to ensure team productivity standards are met
  • Serves as a backup for dock drivers and unloading trucks as needed
  • May train new or less experienced staff members
  • Demonstrates a Continuous Improvement mindset through participation in events and activities that lead to financial gain, time savings, and/or waste reduction for the company
  • And any other duties needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Mission, and abide by our Values.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus one year of experience in a distribution or logistics environment or bachelor's degree plus six months of experience in a distribution or logistics environment.
  • Intermediate-level proficiency in MS Office required.
  • Prior experience in BlueYonder, Opal, or other WMS required.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with employees and customers.
  • Ability to effectively handle competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and organization of work.
  • Ability to remain productive amid interruptions and with minimal supervision; self-starter
  • Natural sensitivity and adherence to deadlines.
  • Basic math skills required.
  • Experience as a certified powered industrial equipment operator and experience with RF and WMS technology preferred.
  • Must be able to satisfactorily complete powered industrial equipment training and maintain equipment license.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk and stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Grips battery plug-in connections multiple times per shift to recharge the battery of the lift powered industrial equipment. The employee must frequently grab, lift, carry, stack, and/or move materials and product weighing up to 50 pounds. Occasionally is required to climb up to 2 flights of 10-inch stairs. Employee may operate wrapping machine, pneumatic and banding equipment, manual and powered woodworking equipment, and RF scanner. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, hand-eye coordination, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to pass vision test.
