Our Opportunity
GPJ is hiring a Receiving Clerk to join our growing team.
This role is on-site, requiring you to report to our Las Vegas office location a minimum of 5 days per week.
Your Role
As a Receiving Clerk, you are responsible for the daily operations in the GPJ Warehouse as it relates to the receiving of raw materials and small packages. You closely collaborate with the Purchasing Department, building a relationship based on respect, trust, and teamwork. You also work closely with the Dock Supervisor and Forklift Operators when flatbeds and trailers need to be unloaded.
It is critical that raw materials are unloaded and delivered to the shop as quickly as possible. You identify discrepancies to the Purchasing Manager as soon as possible. You communicate upstream and downstream to all relevant stakeholders regarding deliveries.
You are very well-versed in all aspects of receiving raw materials. You understand and can identify similar but different materials, confirm quantities, and document accordingly. You know where materials are to be staged and label them so they can be located when needed. You also handle other responsibilities as assigned by Management.
Your Skills
- Safely operate a forklift.
- Deliver small packages to the various departments in the front office and warehouse.
- Load and unload raw materials (i.e., large bundles of lumber and plywood, steel plates and beams, aluminum extrusions, etc.).
- Log received items into accounting software.
- Log into FED Ex and UPS online websites and ship small packages, domestic and internationally.
- Maintain the Receiving security cage and its corresponding logbook.
- Communicate with the Fabrication if you find stock materials are running low or are depleted.
Administration & Training:
- Keep track of how many hours have been used by yourself.
- Maintain and enforce GPJ safety programs and initiatives. Share best practice across the fabrication function.

Your Experience
Experience & Education
- High school diploma
- Minimum of (3) years of industry related experience.
- An ability to communicate clearly in a timely fashion verbally and through written text.
- General computer skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Significant experience or knowledge of the exhibit industry, specifically regarding receiving raw materials.
Travel & Mobility
- Ability to travel 5%
