Physical Qualifications / Shift Expectations & Over Time
1. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
2. You are expected to show up on time for your shift each day and work a pre-determined number of hours. Overtime is made available as needed on an approval basis with management.
3. Must be willing to be trained in the operation of lift equipment such as- Hand Trucks and carts, Order Pickers, High-Reach Trucks, and Fork Trucks.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Physical receipt of product from LTL Truck, Truckload and Parcel carriers.
2. Physically checking in of product against vendors packing slip. Every box opened and quantity reconciled to packing slip.
3. Communicating damage, shortages or overages to the buyer and receiving manager.
4. Staging of inbound, stock, sold & transfer product(‘s) to be stocked on shelves, and sent to customers and QST branch locations.
5. Placing inventory into stock making sure the ‘stocked’ product is properly bin located.
6. Reach out to the inventory & receiving manager for help with assigning new bins in our Cloud Suite ERP system and moving product.
7. Inform receiving and inventory manager of needed bin ‘moves’ in Cloud Suite ERP, moving product or adding additional bin locations.
8. Maintaining a safe working environment in the department.
9. Assisting with locating and packaging of product to be returned to vendor, coordinating with the buyer & receiving manager on all paperwork.
10. Other warehousing tasks directed by the receiving manager.
The receiving clerk is responsible for the physical check-in of product off of supplier packing lists, counting and reconciling, noting discrepancies.
