The Retail Shop Receiving Clerk works under the supervision of the Retail Services Manager. They are responsible for receipt and verification of all shipments. They complete necessary processes by inputting data into the Point of Sale system. They organize and restock inventory after processing, and help to create attractive sales floor displays. They help in ordering and maintaining common inventory. They prepare outbound orders and special orders.

Essential Physical Requirements

  • Lifting of 50 lbs.
  • Pushing, pulling, stooping, reaching, standing, operating and walking.
  • Perform duties of storeroom clerk and courier as needed.
  • Successful completion of Fitness test required prior to employment commencing.

  • Processes all in-bound shipments into the gift shop, ensuring accuracy of product count against the accompanying packing slip.
  • Ensures all receipts are input into Point of Sale System accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Organizes inventory in stock area once processed.
  • Collaborates with the Retail Services Manager to create attractive sales room floor displays (at any gift shop location).
  • Orders and maintains common inventory.
  • Responsible for expediting resolution on receipt discrepancies with the customer and/or vendor.
  • Processes all inventory shipments before daily.
  • Prepares packaging for all outbound shipments, ensuring product matches submitted paperwork.
  • Processes and ships all out-bound shipments accurately and timely before end of day.
  • Makes appropriate deliveries as needed to areas within the medical center.
  • Ensures drop zone area is cleared of all in-bound shipments, boxes, supplies and debris by end of shift.
  • Cover shifts at the cash register and relieve and/or assist volunteers as needed.

Education

  • H.S. Diploma - Required

Work Experience

  • 1 Year - Receiving experience - Preferred

  • Upon Hire

  • Must be able to travel between various system facilities and off-site locations as needed. - Required
