Receiving Clerk |Clearwater, FL

Department: Warehouse Reports To: Receiving Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly Schedule: Temp to Perm Full-Time/Day Shift

$18.00- $21.00

Position Summary

The Receiving Clerk is a physically active role responsible for the accurate and timely receipt, inspection, and processing of incoming raw materials and finished products; electronic components, assemblies, and hardware used in the manufacture of COMPANY' solid-state AC motor controls, soft starters, and motor protection products. This position is essential to keeping our production lines running smoothly and ensuring quality begins the moment materials arrive at our Clearwater facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Unload and receive incoming shipments from carriers using forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Load weekly outbound containers safely mindful of the weight distribution needed.
  • Inspect the unloaded containers once empty and report any damage.
  • Inspect all incoming freight for accuracy, quantity, and condition against purchase orders, packing slips, bills of lading, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Identify, label, and accurately log received components and materials into the inventory management system.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing and Quality Assurance to document and communicate discrepancies, shortages, overages, or damaged goods, to initiate return-to-vendor (RTV) processes.
  • Sort, organize, and stage materials to designated storage areas, production floors assembly stations in a timely manner.
  • Process and file all receiving documentation including purchase orders, packing slips, certificates of conformance, and material test reports.
  • Print and apply required identification and tracking labels for components.
  • Communicate with the Production and Production Planning regarding material availability and urgent component needs.
  • Assist with cycle counts, physical inventory, and annual inventory audits.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving dock and warehouse area in compliance with 5S and OSHA standards.
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely; report any equipment issues or safety hazards immediately.
  • Support the shipping team with outbound freight as needed.
Qualifications

Required
  • High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree); or 1-3 years related experience and/or training in receiving, warehouse, or supply chain, preferably in a manufacturing and electronics product production environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience operating forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and hand trucks (forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain upon hire).
  • Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, packing slips, bills of lading, and technical part numbers.
  • Basic computer skills include data entry Microsoft Word and email.
  • Diligence, with accuracy in counting, verifying, and documenting materials.
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs. repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Familiarity with 5S methodology and general warehouse safety practices.
Work Environment

This is an active, warehouse-based role within our Clearwater, FL manufacturing facility. The warehouse and production floor are climate controlled; however, the Receiving Clerk will be moving parts between the buildings. Safety glasses and gloves are required and provided.

Compensation & Benefits

This position is temporary to permanent. This is a day shift. Starting range $18.00-$21.00 per hour depending on background and experience. Upon full-time hire, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including:
